Hello! It has been a while since I’ve made a post here with the new music. I apologize. It’s because I have been insanely busy with a large number of different projects. One of those projects will be detailed in the news post directly following this one. :) Hit “Read more” to keep reading. No, really, do it!
Two of the remixes listed in this post are recently released, but old music. Both the Legend of Zelda and Super Mario 64 mixes were created in 2011 while the Call of Duty: Ghosts mix was created in 2014! I like observing the contrast between the older music and the new music both in terms of structure and production! You can hear how on the surface things seem a little more complex and (hopefully) produced better, but the core of what defines my style is still there.
I’m not sure I ever REALLY know what I’m doing, but I’ve learned a lot over the last 5 years and the quality of the music — both engineering and production — is increasing. It’s an ongoing process. Maybe I’m just being humble here, as I do offer mixing and mastering services to bands and musicians who are interested. I can definitely hear where music can be improved a while after it has been completed, but despite their flaws, I still really love all of the music I have completed. I think that is a healthy way to work and continue on.
I am glad the Super Mario 64 album has finally been released so that people can hear this song at long last. I hope you enjoy it, and I’ll try to make a better effort to put the new music on the site in the future. If I fail, you can always subscribe to me on Youtube and follow me on twitter. :)
And of course, Facebook. Gasp, so many social networks, so little time!
